Sacramento Concert Band: Rehearsals

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE:

	August 28th, 2006 - first rehearsal for the 2006/2007 season
	September 4th, 2006 - Labor Day (no rehearsal)
	September 11th, 2006 - resume rehearsals
	* Winter Holiday Break * - December 18th - January 1st
	January 8th, 2007 - resume rehearsals
	January 15th, 2007 - Martin Luther King Holiday (no rehearsal)
	January 22nd, 2007 - resume rehearsals
	April 2nd, 2007 - SJUSD spring break week (no rehearsal)
	April 9th, 2007 - resume rehearsals
	June 3rd, 2007 - Carmichael Park Concert, no rehearsal on the 4th
	June 11th, 2007 - Rehearsal for Adult Ed Graduation (June 13th)
	TBA: Rehearsals for July 1 and 4th Concerts

Performance Attire:

Formal attire:
Black tuxes or suits, long black dresses (no strapless; must have sleeves), black socks, black shoes.

Casual attire:
Blue polo band shirts (see Grant if you don't have one), black pants, black socks, black shoes.

Concert attire is required as stated above and is not provided with the exception of the polo shirt casual summertime uniform.

Rehearsals are normally held each Monday evening at 7:15 p.m. during the school year at Encina High School in Sacramento. Auditions are not required to enter the program but may be requested during the semester to satisfy chairing/solo requirements. Parking is provided free in front of the Gymnasium. Turn right as you enter the school grounds and follow the yellow marked roadway to the rear of the campus. The band room is a short wheelcair accessable walk to the North (left) of the Gym, just past an open courtyard on the left side. Dress for rehearsals is casual, chairs and music stands are provided.
